It was another good month for real estate all along the Forgotten Coast! If you are looking to buy or sell now may be the best time.  Prices are going up and inventory is low.  A total of 59 properties sold in the month of February from Mexico Beach to Indian Pass. Below is the break down of sales by area.


Cape San Blas/ Indian Pass/ Scenic Hwy 30 SOLD Properties: 19 properties were sold in the Cape San Blas area including 7 interior lots selling for under $100K. Two Seacliff townhomes sold for $278K and $291K. A new construction home in the Jubilation Subdivision sold for $480K.  Two FEMA flood gulf front homes sold in the Money Bayou area for $570K and $768K.


A total of 23 properties were sold in the Mexico Beach area last month. One of the best deals was a move in ready home in St Joe Beach with a view for only $292,500. The neighbors were happy to see an incomplete construction home that had been on the market over a year sold for only $85K. Recently updated with beautiful decor, an older gulf front town home near the Mexico Beach Pier sold for $340K. Several gulf view condos sold ranging in price from $199,000 to $299K for a beautiful canal front condo with views of the Gulf of Mexico.


Port St Joe SOLD Properties:
Homes located in the Barefoot Cottage Community continue to be a good investment. A 2BR/2.5BA unit sold for $157,500.  Two nice building lots in the Plantation Subdivision sold for $28,500 and $34K. With very little inventory available, a 3BR/2BA older home sold on Garrison Ave. for $192K.
To continue the efforts of beautifying Wewahitchka, the City purchased a nice commercial building downtown next to the City Park. A really nice bank owned property sold for only $68K. A foreclosure home near the Intercoastal Waterway boat ramp in White City sold for $58K.
